Glue Dots, USA

History Founded in 1997, Glue Dots International revolutionized the adhesives industry with instant bonding adhesive products under the Glue Dots® brand name. Glue Dots were the original product of its kind, establishing the preformed pressure sensitive market. Glue Dots Brand Adhesives initially launched into the industrial marketplace where the adhesive product line and related application equipment quickly expanded. Glue Dots was acquired by Ellsworth Adhesives Corporation in 1999 to further strengthen product development and increase distribution channels. In 2001, an assortment of products was launched at the Hobby Industry Association show. The response was immediate, and the product line quickly expanded. Since then consumers have discovered endless uses for Glue Dots® around the home, school and office. Everyday projects ranging from crafts to home décor, to school projects and presentations, to quick home repairs and DIY improvements are simpler with Glue Dots Brand Adhesives. In 2019, Glue Dots® International began expanding our existing Germantown, Wisconsin, headquarters by 68,400 square feet. Once the expansion is completed by the end of 2020, it will result in a 129,700 square foot facility. This expansion project follows two recent mergers – transitioning Heartland Adhesives and The Glue Factory into one Glue Dots® International organization. With these additions we offer a comprehensive portfolio of industrial hot melt and water based adhesives. Today Glue Dots® International is a leading industrial adhesives technologies manufacturer with expertise and advanced, in-house technology to create adhesive formulations for any product or application. From preformed adhesives, tape and labeling adhesives, packaging, automotive and electronics, or custom formulations, Glue Dots has the capabilities to manufacture adhesives ranging in viscosity, bond strength, application temperature, and more.
